All sheep are tested for Codon 171, Codon 136, and are
spider clean NNI or NNP. Buyers will receive the Gene Check DNA results
when appropriate. Some individuals do not need DNA testing because of
the results of the parents previous results. Complete pedigree on each sheep is listed below
each picture and description. Videos are available upon request in a file
that is viewable from your computers Media Player. We do offer group
discounts on 3 or more sheep.
All pictures and
measurements are taken "with no clothes on," except a little butt wool.

We used this
ram successfully this past fall. We have some nice ewe lambs out of
him. This will be our top yearling ram we are offering for sale in
'09.
COMMENTS: A good complete ram. No holes in him. Just a nicely built ram,
with a good pedigree. His mother has been a great producer. Good top
line, with probably one of the biggest boned rams we have.
COMMENTS: This ram is going to be a super stylish ram. He may be the
sleeper of the group. He carries an eye appeal about him. He is green,
...that is typical for Doc lambs at this point. We bought his
mother from Bobendrier's as a ewe lamb to specifically breed to
Doc.
COMMENTS: This ram has it all together….he has bone, muscle, is RR, and
is sired by Doc. He will probably not be the biggest ram in the group,
but he has tons of style. I appreciate his bone. His mother is a Arthur
daughter, but was a shorter solid built ewe that we showed as a slick
shorn yearling ewe several years ago at the Ohio State Fair. She was an
excellent producer, and could drop twins and triplets every year with
ease, and raise them.
COMMENTS: This ram is really coming on and keeps catching our attention.
We might try and show this ram later in the summer….so not sure of his
status, but if an offer is there we will always consider a sale. His
mother is a Preacher daughter, who was a terrific female producer.
Example below of
yearling ewes offered for sale.....only a few (2-3 head) of the "top end"
yearling ewes still available.

We are thrilled
when we receive a note from people around the country keeping us posted on their
sheep results. You might enjoy reading them as well! Dealing with
these kind of people and hearing their comments makes "raising
Hampshire's" all worth while!
I just
wanted to let you know that your Hampshire ram has provided us with a successful lambing
season. Our first lamb arrived Feb. 4 and we still have 12 ewes to lamb yet.
This past Sat. night we had 3 sets of twins and l set of triplets arrive within
a couple of hrs. of each other. The lambs this yr. have been a joy to watch play
together. We are so pleased with the added length your ram provided and broader
chests to all the lambs. Again, many thanks for a wonderful ram.
I wanted to let you know that all
the lambs have been born. We had three females bred. I first had 3 weeks ago and
they are really growing. I just can't believe it. I think by the looks of them
my kids might have some very nice lambs to show this year. The first lambs that
were born are super long bodied with nice loins. I think they will be heavy
weights for the fair the end of July
They
(ewe lambs out of a Wise Hampshire ram) took Grand Champion Hampshire Ewe
and Reserve Champion Hampshire ewe and 1st place in the pair of ewe
lambs.
To update you on the Wise
orange tag ewe (Sired by Kendall) we purchased -- she placed first in
class and reserve at TN 4-H District show. She placed second in class at TN 4-H
state show. She placed first in class and won Grand Champ ion ewe at Wilson Cty.
Show (which by the way is about as big as our state fair 300k plus) She then
placed first in class at TN state fair & won Senior Ewe and Grand Champ ewe.
Just a note to let you know how we are
doing with the new lamb crop from your Hampshire ram 68W. We were pleased with our lambs
from your ram! We felt the quality of our lambs increased, and that's what
we're shooting for! Our final totals were 45 lambs from 24 ewes, so we
felt pretty good about that.
Lakota (RAM LAMB) is doing
awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We measured him the other day. This amazed
me. He is 43 inches long to his rump. He is nearly 38 inches tall
and he has grown enormous amounts lately. We are so happy and proud of
him. He is everything our flock needed and a little more.
Carol, I was filling out registration
papers and thought I'd let you know what a great lambing season we had.
We started Jan. 22 and finished Feb 22. We had 5 sets of triplets.
9 sets of twins. 2 singles. 18 ewes and 17 rams. I hope we
have the same good luck next winter. Thanks again for all your help.
I thought I'd let you know how Paco
(RAM
LAMB) did
in his first year as "daddy". We are through with
lambing and have a 200% lamb crop from Paco. Actually it was better than that.
We had two sets of triplets. Paco's (RAM LAMB) babies are
"beautiful"! They have a "presence" about them that I've
not seen in our sheep before. It's like they "know" how good they
look and they're strutting their stuff! Each baby weighed in at 16 to 19
lbs!!! (except for the last triplet which was the smallest at 13 lbs.)
Thanks for your reply. You have a nice
web site. We have two girls (ages 10 & 8). This is their first year
showing. We have learned a lot, mostly that we do not know much. The girls
started with one ewe lamb each. We will use a neighbors ram and breed them
next month. We think, with the arrival of baby lambs, that they will get
"stuck" on this outstanding 4-H program.
It looks like you have excellent quality
from the pictures I have seen. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Transportation is at the buyers expense
