Along
with running a grain farm in northwest Ohio, we spend
our "spare time" with family, and raising a flock of
QUALITY Hampshire Sheep. Our flock officially started in
1979, following a lifetime of showing 4-H market lambs
and a handfull of Hampshire breeding sheep. The original flock
of 25 head was first known as "Wagner Hampshires" of Edison,
Ohio. In 1993 Tom & Carol were joined hand in hand in
marriage, and the flock became known as "Wise Hampshires."
Today the sheep reside on the flat, but highly
productive farm ground of Hancock County in Findlay,
Ohio and were the life long 4-H projects on the local,
state and national level for Karen & Kaye Lynn. Fast
forward, we are blessed to add the Magann's & Pusateri's
to our family.
To improve our flock through
the years, we have carefully selected quality bloodlines
from premiere breeders throughout the country. Our
primary focus has been acquiring excellent sires with
the correct DNA influence, and continuing our success
working with the immune support therapy to all but
eliminate the antibiotic needs to "emergency only level"
in the flock. Due to the
demands for affordable, yet very competitively producing
sheep, we maintained the flock between 30-40 head. Our goal is
to continue advancing the flock to meet the demands of
our customers.
